- Minimum age of 15 with parental consent
- If this course is taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, the minimum age is 18
- Minimum certification of TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent
- Provide proof of 25 logged open water dives
TDI Advanced Nitrox Manual
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course requires a minimum of 4 dives conducted over a minimum of 3 days. The first day will be spent in the classroom discussing planning and procedures and will include time for equipment configuration and exam review. The following days will be spent in the water conducting dives which are appropriate to the diver’s experience and training level. If this course is taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, a minimum of six dives will be required over a minimum of 4 days.
- Mask and fins
- Backup mask recommended
- Exposure protection (dry suit and undergarment or 7mm wet suit)
- Single or dual primary cylinder(s) (sidemount or backmount)
- “Decompression” cylinder and regulator properly labeled and cleaned as required for EAN mixtures
- One or two primary first and second stage regulators depending upon configuration
- One SPG for backmount or two SPGs for sidemount
- 7′ long hose
- BCD inflator hose and/or dry suit inflator hose
- Buoyancy Compensating Device (BCD)
- Depth and timing device
- Cutting device
- Oxygen analyzer, recommended
